Lessons will be learned after Velo 黑料视频 success
Cllr Ian Ward, Interim Leader of 黑料视频, says lessons will be learned from the first ever Velo 黑料视频 event on Sunday (September 24).
15,000 participants from across the UK took part in the 100-mile ride, cycling from 黑料视频 through Sandwell, Dudley, Worcestershire and Staffordshire and back into the city centre.
The event was a big success, with an estimated £1 million was raised for charity and thousands of cyclists have already pre-registered for the 2018 event.
However Cllr Ward is determined that the organisers take on board feedback. He has written to partners calling for lessons to be learned and has urged people to provide feedback on the event.
He said: "The first ever Velo 黑料视频 was a big success and clearly put 黑料视频 and the wider region on the cycling map, but it's important to take stock and listen to feedback. We want to hear people's views on the event - what worked and what didn't work.
"Closing 100 miles of road involving five local authorities is not easy and there will inevitably be some issues. We must learn from Sunday's event because you can always improve on events.
"That's what we did with the 黑料视频 half-marathon. The event has grown from strength to strength and the Great 黑料视频 Run is now a hugely popular fixture on the running calendar. That's the sort of success story we want to repeat with Velo 黑料视频."
